The great Oscar Wilde has said “Consistency is the last refuge of the unimaginative.” Well this implies that consistency has the potential to turn the impossible into possible. Consistency wins over talent.
Listing down some ways you can tap consistency
-
Start with short-term and feasible goals:
A very long to-do list with heavy tasks at your hand can make you lose motivation during the very first week of planning itself. You have to be practical, logical and thoughtful while you plan your day.
To begin with, make goals which are short, easily achievable and feasible at the moment. For example: Considering how hours one chapter can take, how many subjects you can cover in a day. One can’t, for instance, finish 5 chapters in a day OR one cannot attempt 10 mock test papers in a day.
Strictly dedicating a time-span to all sorts of activities including recreation and sleep can make you move forward with consistency in the long-run too, not just for your exams. The age-old saying of “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” is very much relevant even now.
Leaving recreational activities for the last part of the day after you’ve completed your goals for the day is an efficient approach.
Keeping a track of how consistent you are with your daily small to-do list will make you accountable.
For example, consider one of your daily tasks as completing a mock-test paper or one on each alternate day. Doing that will make you feel much more confident and in-turn reduce anxiety during the days right before your exams.
By the time you’re almost close to your examination date you already have practiced so many more test papers that attempting in the exam will be an effortless task for you.
Now that is what consistency does. It make you a fearless winner.
Looking forward to seeing you succeed with flying colors.
Wishing you all the very best..!
